This was the first weekend warm enough to paint outside (comfortably). My shakedown cruise on friday to Ryerson Woods revealed that I had neglected to bring sunscreen and my water bottle. Lucky I was by the river as I was using gouache.
I encountered acres of ramps (above), fresh moss and deer parts (below), and got the chance to paint the view across the river to the pine grove at the old dam site. Not a bad day all in all.
